WWE fans out there, rejoice, you have got another fan in your ranks in the form of Virat Kohli. The champion batter was caught copying legendary WWE Superstar, The Undertaker during their clash against Gujarat Titans. Kohli imitated Undertaker’s iconic ‘Throat slash’ gesture towards Shubhman Gill and the action took place during the batting innings of the Gujarat Titans. The right-hander has been having a bit of fun in IPL 2022, after surrendering the captaincy duties to Faf Du Plessis.

Kohli looked in scintillating form in his knock of 73 runs off 54 balls, but he was dropped earlier in the innings by Rashid Khan. He stitched a century-run partnership with skipper Faf du Plessis, who fell after scoring 44 runs off 38 deliveries. Glenn Maxwell had a superb outing for Bangalore as the all-rounder finished with 40* off 18 balls to go with 1/28 of his four overs.

The former RCB skipper was adjudged the Man of the Match for his efforts with the bat as the stylish batter was in vintage form successfully chasing Titan’s target of 169.

Here is how Virat Kohli imitated the famous WWE star

Gujarat Titans finished with a respectable score, thanks to Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan

Gujarat Titans, who decided to bat first after winning the toss, were rocked early by Gill’s wicket. Maxwell, who took a stunning catch to dismiss Gill, controversially ended Matthew Wade’s innings when he dismissed his countrymate LBW. Skipper Hardik Pandya steadied the ship with David Miller, but the South African fell in the 17th over. Titans finished with a score of 168 on the board, thanks to a late flurry from Pandya and Rashid Khan (19* off six balls).

The loss for Gujarat Titans will be just a learning curve for their players as they are placed comfortably at the top of the table. Meanwhile, RCB’s win keeps their hopes alive for the playoff spot.

Due to RCB’s inferior net run rate in IPL 2022, the clash between Mumbai and Delhi becomes a potential quarter-final for DC and RCB. A win for MI will see RCB go through, but a win for DC will see Rishabh Pant’s side progress to the playoffs.
