All the members of the Chennai Super Kings have come forward and exchanged pleasantries with each other on the prosperous occasion of Eid on May 3. The video of their Eid celebrations has been posted by the franchise on their official Twitter handle.

In the video, all the players and the support staff of the Chennai squad including the likes of skipper MS Dhoni, Moeen Ali, Shivam Dube, Ambati Rayudu, Robin Uthappa, Dwayne Bravo and others can be seen bonding over food and sweets in the team hotel. Meanwhile, Mahendra Singh Dhoni can also be seen interacting with a couple of kids.

Chennai Super Kings recently beat the southern rivals Sunrisers Hyderabad by 13 runs at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune to register their third win of the season. In fact, the change of captaincy worked for them instantly after Dhoni was re-appointed as the skipper last week owing to the team’s underwhelming performances under Ravindra Jadeja.

They would now be hoping to win all their remaining fixtures in order to assure themselves yet another playoff berth. The reigning champions will next be seen in action against a struggling Royal Challengers Bangalore at Pune’s MCA Stadium on May 4. Bangalore head into this clash on the back of three successive defeats and they are in dire need of a win in order to revive their campaign.

At the same time, RCB would also be looking to avenge their reverse fixture loss where they had gone down to CSK by 23 runs chasing a mammoth total. Meanwhile, Chennai might have handed over the captaincy duties to Dhoni but they would also be looking forward to grooming Jadeja who had to relinquish the spot due to enormous pressure. While the legendary stumper has hinted that he will be available for the 2023 season, it remains to be seen how much he will be able to push himself as a player.
