The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will kickstart with a mouthwatering clash between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on 26th March 2022. This clash will be held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This year, the IPL will see ten teams competing, and the teams have been divided into two groups.

All the league-stage matches in this year’s IPL will be held in the state of Maharashtra, in the cities of Mumbai and Pune. The legendary MS Dhoni once again stumped his fans by announcing his decision to step down as the skipper of the CSK side just before the commencement of IPL 2022, and the responsibility of leading the ‘Yellow Brigade’ has now fallen on the shoulders of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.

On the other hand, Shreyas Iyer will don the skipper’s hat for the Kolkata Knight Riders side in the 15th season of the tournament. In the 2021 season, the CSK side beat the KKR outfit on all three occasions that the two teams met, including the final. And the KKR side will be looking for a reversal of fortunes this time around when they take on the defending champions.
