IPL 2022: Did rapper Badshah sport Lucknow Super Giants' official jersey in viral video?

Cricket fans must have their eyes on the calendar as the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to get underway on March 26. This year’s tournament is set to be a grand affair with two new teams – Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans – coming into the picture. Hence, for the very first time since the 2011 season, 10 teams will battle it out for the prestigious title.

Meanwhile, the Lucknow-based side will be led by KL Rahul and expectations are pretty high from the side. After all, the franchise built a strong squad during the last month’s mega auction. Owing to the same, they are one of the teams to watch out for this season. Meanwhile, the franchise is yet to officially unveil their jersey for their debut season.

However, a video has gone viral in social media wherein famous rapper and singer Badshah seems like recording a promotional video for Lucknow Super Giants. He is sporting a turquoise blue jersey in the clip with the franchise’s logo on it. As the video went viral, netizens came up with speculations that LSG players might don this jersey in the 2022 edition.

With IPL 2022 being less than two weeks away, the franchise is expected to unveil the official jersey soon. Speaking of how the squad looks like, KL Rahul will join forces with Quinton de Kock at the top with veteran Manish Pandey following the duo.

In Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Marcus Stoinis and Jason Holder, the side has many quality all-rounders in ranks, who are proven stars of the T20 format. As far as the bowling attack is concerned, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan and Dushmantha Chameera will serve the team. LSG will kick-start their campaign against Gujarat Titans on March 28.
