England and Rajasthan Royals’ swashbuckling batter Jos Buttler has named Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan as the bowler he hates to face during the field restrictions. Similarly, Buttler has named Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav as the best among Indian cricketers to play a scoop shot.

To note, Butler is currently representing Rajasthan Royals in the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) edition, The right-handed batter has amassed 375 runs in just six matches and is currently the highest run-getter in the tournament. The hard-hitting opener has also scored two centuries in IPL 2022.

He has got my number so I better come up with a plan against him: Buttler on Rashid Khan

In a conversation with ESPNcricinfo, Buttler named Rashid Khan as one of the bowlers he hates facing during the powerplay. Rashid has managed to get Buttler out three times in T20 cricket. Meanwhile, Buttler managed to score just 17 runs off 28 balls against the spin wizard.

Talking about Rashid’s overall numbers in T20 cricket, the 23-year-old has played 58 matches for his country and has scalped a total of 105 wickets so far. He bowls at an excellent economy rate of 6.18 and has four four-wicket hauls and two five-wicket hauls in the international arena in his name. Rashid has also represented his country in 80 ODIs and five Test matches.

When asked about who plays the best scoop shot amongst Indian players, Buttler, who himself plays that shot to perfection, named Suryakumar Yadav. The 31-year-old Indian batter has only represented India in 21 matches. However, he has played 120 IPL matches in which he has scored a total of 2573 runs at a decent average of 30.27. The right-handed batter has already stroked 15 half-centuries in IPL.

It is to be noted that Suryakumar is an excellent shot-maker and has a variety of shots in his book. The 31-year-old is in excellent form in the current edition of IPL. However, his team MI is languishing at the last spot in the points table after losing all of their seven matches so far.
