Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad will be facing each other in the 36th match of IPL 2022, to be played at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. During the previous IPL season, RCB reached the Eliminator, and SRH finished at the last place. So far this season, RCB won five matches and SRH won four. Both teams have lost just two games, and are in strong contention for the playoffs. RCB will be playing their first match at Brabourne this season, while SRH defeated KKR at this ground earlier.

Although openers Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma not being consistent, middle-order batters Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram has been impressive this season as SRH won all their last four matches by seven or more wickets. The Indian pace trio of T Natarajan, Umran Malik, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been in a fantastic form for the team.

Faf du Plessis was exceptional at the top for RCB, being the third-highest run-getter this season. Though Virat Kohli has been far away from his best, RCB still has a top middle order with Glenn Maxwell and Shahbaz Ahmed in good form with the bat. Furthermore, Dinesh Karthik has been in his purple patch, with an unbelievable average as well as strike rate this season. Wanindu Hasaranga, Josh Hazlewood, and Harshal  Patel have been their top performers with the ball.
