Gujarat Titans all-rounder Rashid Khan named his unique shot that has been very productive for him to be “snake shot” in an interaction with his skipper Hardik Pandya. The Afghanistan lad could not do much damage with the ball against his former side Sunrisers Hyderabad but made up for it with a brilliant finish with the bat. The right-hander scored an unbeaten 11-ball 31 which included four sixes and a handy partnership with Rahul Tewatia (40*) sealed the deal for the Gujarat Titans.

In the final over, Gujarat needed 22 to win and Marco Jansen was not an easy bowler by any means to go over the boundary ropes but Rashid got the better of him and hit two sixes off the last deliveries as well. The leg spinner had already played an important part in the win against Chennai Super Kings alongside David Miller and he keeps improving in terms of his batting credentials.

After winning the game for the side, Rashid and Tewatia had an interaction with Pandya and the captain raised a few questions to the duo on their knock so far. Pandya mentioned to them in the video that he could not believe how the pair have been able to finish off games time and again and enquired particularly about Rashid’s wristy shot as well.

Rashid noted that he calls the shot the “Snake shot” to refer to how the snake bites in a spur of a moment. The trio was involved in a fun chat and they looked all smiles after yet another win.

Rashid’s so-called “Snake shot” has been quite effective for him as he tends to give it a whip with his strong wrists and uses the pace of the delivery at times to get the ball over the ropes.  Meanwhile, with the victory, Gujarat Titans have moved to the top of the points table with seven wins in eight games and are looking strong to make it to the playoff stages at the moment.
