IPL 2022: Suresh Raina, Ravi Shastri set to join commentary panel for upcoming edition
Ravi Shastri will also return behind the mic after a long time in IPL 2022.
The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will start from March 26 (Saturday) with the previous edition’s champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and the runner-up, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), locking horns with each other. As the latest edition of the IPL comes closer, Disney Star Networks, who have the rights of broadcasting the IPL, have announced a star-studded list of 80 commentators. The commentators are expected to describe the events with passion, excitement, thrill, and definitely a dash of humor.
To note, Ravi Shastri will join the commentator’s panel for the first time in seven years. Shastri is a famous broadcaster whose voice during live matches is loved by the fans. The former India head coach is making a comeback to commentary after his seven years of duty with the Indian cricket team.
Meanwhile, Suresh Raina, who did not find any bidder for his name during the IPL 2022 mega auction, will also be seen donning the commentator’s hat for the first time in the tournament. The world’s biggest cricketing league will be broadcast in eight different languages including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, and Bengali.
