The five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) had to halt their practice session after a swarm of bees entered the ground on April 20 (Wednesday). To note, MI will take on the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their next group stage of IPL 2022. The match will be played at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on April 21 (Thursday).

The Men in Blue and Gold have lost all six previous matches and are languishing at the bottom of the table. The five-time champions have lost their matches against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Rajasthan Royals (RR), and Delhi Capitals (DC).

In an 18-second video shared by MI on their official Twitter handle on Wednesday, all MI players can be seen lying in the video as a big swarm of bees hovers over them. The video has so far garnered 3,625 views with 368 likes (at the time of writing).

Coming to MI vs CSK match, the five-time champions will have their task cut out against the defending champions. Even though CSK has not been able to perform well in the tournament, the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Robin Uthappa, and Shivam Dube can prove to be quite lethal for the Men in Blue and Gold.

The MI team management will want to give a chance to Australian express pacer Riley Meredith, replacing England pacer Tymal Mills who has been ordinary in his last few appearances. Skipper Rohit Sharma and wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan have also failed to impress so far as well.

On a positive note, Suryakumar Yadav, South African Dewald Brevis, and youngster Tilak Varma have impressed with the bat. Suryakumar has scored 200 runs in four innings at a strike rate of 153.85. while Varma has amassed 183 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 147.6. If the top order fails, the abovementioned players will have the task of ensuring a good total for their team.
