One of the under-rated talents of the T20 format, Evin Lewis‘ records in the shortest format of the game certainly showcase his calibre. The left-handed attacking batsman has gathered 647 runs in 23 T20 Internationals which include two centuries and four half-centuries.

Lewis can play an integral role in strengthening the top order of the Mumbai Indians’ batting attack. Lewis’ innings of 48-ball 100 against India can be considered as one of the most lethal knocks played by any player in T20Is. His second T20I hundred was also against India, where he remained unbeaten on the score of 125.

Regarded as a successor to Chris Gayle, Lewis can provide a bolstering start to Mumbai Indians alongside Quinton de Kock. Lewis made his presence felt in IPL 2018 by smashing 382 runs in 13 games at a strike rate of 138.40. Lewis’ destructive batting can certainly be utilised more by Mumbai Indians in near future.
