Since 2020, MS Dhoni has been struggling with the bat for CSK. While the 2020 season was a disastrous one for the legend, in the next season, he performed only in one match. In league stages, it was all about the top order for CSK.

During their league game against DC, CSK was unable to put up a big score on the board. One of the main reasons was Dhoni’s struggle with the bat. He scored 18 runs from 27 balls without any boundaries.

His struggle came to an end when he was caught behind off Avesh Khan. It was clear that Dhoni is now in the twilight of his career. With some big names like Jadeja, Bravo, and Shardul waiting for their turn, Dhoni’s approach was somehow a bit slow.
