Playing XI:

Kolkata Knight Riders : Robin Uthappa(w), Gautam Gambhir(c), Suryakumar Yadav, Shakib Al Hasan, Yusuf Pathan, Andre Russell, Rajagopal Sathish, Chris Lynn, Jaydev Unadkat, Umesh Yadav, Sunil Narine

Mumbai Indians: Rohit Sharma(c), Parthiv Patel(w), Ambati Rayudu, Jos Buttler, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Harbhajan Singh, Tim Southee, Mitchell McClenaghan, Jasprit Bumrah

Gautam Gambhir said: “We would have bowled as well. We have got Chris Lynn so we have got enough firepower. We have got 5 quality bowlers. We have won three games away from home. We have got two changes, Chris Lynn comes in place Morne Morkel and Jaydev Unadkat for Piyush Chawla.”

Home skipper Rohit Sharma said: “We will have a bowl first. I think so, the last game we played against Bangalore we found some dew here, that’s probably the reason we want to bowl. Suryakumar Yadav, who is all too familiar with the Wankhede wickets, does a bit of shadow practice on the main pitch. Kieron Pollard does some shadow practice now. He butchered a few pulls by the looks of it.”

Mumbai Indians have won the toss and have opted to field

The highly consistent Kolkata Knight Riders take on the shaky Mumbai Indians side at the Wankhede Stadium today. KKR are coming into the game after winning a final over thriller against RPSG while MI has lost their past two encounters. It would be interesting to see which one of the fares well, the spin-heavy KKR bowling line up of the pace dominated MI attack. In spite of having a very poor head to head record against MI (12 defeats to 5 wins), KKR go into the contest as the favourites.
