Kings XI Punjab captain David Miller said: “Enjoying my job as a captain. Marcus Stoinis is our fourth overseas addition tonight. He bats and bowls so obviously a great addition to the team. Shaun Marsh is in the hospital. I think it’s been a great wicket, will see how it goes. We would like to put some runs on the board and hopefully do the job with the ball.”
Gujarat Lions skipper Suresh Raina said: “We want to bowl first. It always does something. And we have got some swing bowlers up front in Sangwan and Praveen Kumar. We have been practicing. We have Faulkner, Bravo and Baz, who have been doing some great job of late.”
Sunny Gavaskar at the pitch report said, “There is a fair bit of grass on the pitch and the new ball bowlers will get some bounce off the it.”
In the 3rd match of the IPL 9 at Mohali visiting skipper, Suresh Raina called the right side of the coin and having won the toss and have opted to bowl first against the Kings XI Punjab.
