The new surroundings did little to spur Mumbai Indians as they were hammered into the ground by the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Shikhar Dhawan slammed an unbeaten 82 as the Sunrisers blasted the Mumbai Indians away. The 5-pacer bowling attack ripped through the Mumbai Indians batting lineup with relative ease. While there were a plethora of talking points, here are five of the major talking points on show.

1. Change of surroundings for Mumbai:

Moving from the Wankhede to Vishakapatnam is certainly not easy. While the stands were painted in blue, most of the fans turned up in support of the Sunrisers. The extra support at Vizag almost seemed as if it was a home game for them, thus ensuring a win for the Sunrisers.

2. Shikhar Dhawan makes hay when it matters:

Shikhar Dhawan has come into his own following heavy criticism. However, his poor performances have led him into the light as he slammed a masterful 82 in just 57 deliveries. The southpaw not only ensured that he got a big score and remained unbeaten but also ensured that he laid a foundation for the progression of the innings. Needless to say, his effort ensured that the Sunrisers posted a massive 177 en route to their win.

3. Yuvraj Singh comes to the party:

Yuvraj Singh’s return has become somewhat spectacular and remarkable. It has almost been as though the fanfare has persuaded him to perform much better. However, the southpaw rolled back the years and showcased some impressive batsmanship by striking the ball a country mile into the stands. He slammed 39 off 23 deliveries including 3 fours and 2 sixes, ensuring that he upped the ante quite considerably.

4. Ashish Nehra hammers Mumbai into the ground:

Ashish Nehra at 37 is something of an enigma. One of the most remarkable comebacks in world cricket at the moment, the injury-prone seamer is being held together by his pills and the painkillers given to him by the doctors who have managed to prolong his career thus far. However, the fact that he clocked an average of 130 Kmph was something acknowledgeable. He smashed through the Mumbai Indians batting order as Jos Buttler, Ambati Rayudu and Rohit Sharma fell prey to his antics within the powerplay overs.

5. Mustafizur completes comprehensive win:

Mustafizur Rahman came a bit late to the party. He came in at a time when the Mumbai Indians were reeling with 5 wickets down already. The Bangladeshi pacer, created even more havoc as he picked up three wickets in the three over that he bowled. Although a case can be made for the wickets of Hardik Pandya and Tim Southee, ‘Fizz’ was simply phenomenal on the night.
