On being asked to bat first KKR captain Gautam Gambhir said: “We would have bowled first as well. But can’t control the toss. We have to put runs on the board and restrict them. We can’t think of permuntations and combinations and just look to win the game. Russell is obviously not playing today as he is not available. Munro comes in for Morne Morkel. Kuldeep Yadav replaces Piyush Chawla.”

After winning the toss SRH skipper David Warner said: “We are going to bowl first. Yes, definitely (talking about their previous game). We did not get enough runs on the board. We were sloppy in the field in the last game. We have come here fresh and we will try to win. We can’t be too complacent and we will try to play our best from ball one. Kane Williamson comes in for Eoin Morgan.”
