IPL 9 is finally a day away from the playoffs stage. With just 2 matches remaining to be played in the league stage, the fans are in for a treat as still the top four teams for the playoffs are not confirmed. The results of both the matches on Sunday will affect the proceedings of the tournament. The Sunrisers Hyderabad will lock horns with the Kolkata Knight Riders at Kolkata in the day game today and the Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Delhi Daredevils in the second match.
The Mumbai Indians lost to the Gujarat Lions and hence will be relying on the results of the two matches today for their outside chance to qualify. Lions have now consolidated one of the top two slots. If SRH wins by a big margin and so does RCB, MI will then be place 4th on the basis of the better net run rate.
