IPL 9 is now getting towards its business end when all teams are closing in to get to the playoffs stage. The points table sees Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Lions take the top two positions with 12 points at the moment. Gujarat Lions had a chance to make it 14 but lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad at Hyderabad last night. A couple of more wins could almost guarantee them a place in the playoffs. The Sunrisers Hyderabad registered a good win against the Lions and have now made it to the top 4 of the points table. Rising Pune Supergiants will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore tonight. A win for either side will not take them to the top 4 but certainly help them remain alive in the competition. Delhi Daredevils have a chance to make it to the top of the list if they beat the low ranked Kings XI Punjab.
IPL 9 Points Table:

He will have a chance to extend his lead over others in the game against the Rising Pune Supergiants this afternoon. He was joined in the 400-run club by Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner who has 410 runs to his name. Gujarat Lions skipper Suresh Raina has moved up to the 8th spot after a cameo in the match against SRH last night. Rising Pune Supergiants opener Ajinkya Rahane will have a very good chance to join the 400 club tonight if he scores 57 more runs. He has already scored 5 half centuries this season.
