Irfan Pathan reveals a secret after meeting Salman Khan

Salman Khan, the Bollywood actor, graced his presence in the commentary box during the Final of the 2018 Indian Premier League between the Chennai Super Kings and the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Anil Kapoor, another popular actor, also tried his hand at commentary. Both were present to promote their upcoming movie Race 3, which is scheduled to hit the screens on June 15.
During his stint, the ‘Dabangg’ star, heaped praises on MS Dhoni, the CSK skipper, and hailed him as the best skipper of the sport ever. The 52-year old also expressed his gratitude towards Dhoni for playing the gentleman’s game with dignity. Salman has found himself tangled in several controversies, but that hasn’t diminished his fan-following to any extent.
Irfan Pathan was a part of Star Sports’ broadcasting team for the entire event and did a stupendous job sharing his expert opinion with a unique style. He was a part of the Hindi commentary and live shows if the posts from fans on social media is anything to go by, they loved Pathan who was until last year a part of the IPL as a player in his new avatar.
When Irfan met Salman
The Baroda-born cricketer took time out of his busy schedule and met Salman. Quite expectantly, he was delighted to rub shoulders with the veteran. Irfan mentioned that Salman is an ardent follower of the game and also revealed that he had trained under the legendary cricketer Salim Durani. Irfan took to Instagram and posted a couple of pictures where Salman was seen playing with his son Imran.
The left-arm pacer wrote- “It was a pleasure meeting @beingsalmankhan bhai n got to learn some great stories abt his love for the game.How many knew sallu bhai had trained under Salim Durani sir for a week or so #SalmanKhan #IPLFinal”
