Sachin Tendulkar is celebrating his 44th birthday today as wishes poured in from all over the globe through Twitter, Instagram, and all other media platforms. Former cricketers such as Jason Gillespie to Indian legend Anil Kumble, and the current bunch of Indian stars such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin, and many more, flocked in to wish the Little Master. But none of them received as much backlash as Irfan Pathan’s post on social media.

The former Indian pace sensation, Irfan Pathan, was at the receiving end of mockery and outrage after people misinterpreted a popular abbreviation GOAT with the domesticated animal. As a result, Sachin fans were enraged as they attacked the 32-year-old fast bowler with 100 wickets, for showing disrespect.

Irfan tweeted sending Sachin his love and respect along with his birthday wish. The only problem was of the use of a rather unfamiliar term for many GOAT which confused the masses on Twitter.

He tweeted,”Wishing GOAT @sachin_rt paji a very happy birthday.may u keep spreading the love which u always do #love #respect”

GOAT stands for ‘the greatest of all time’ and also is a name of a domesticated animal.
