Veteran Indian speedster Ishant Sharma is doing a fine job in his domestic cricket stint in England. Playing for the Sussex side, the tall pace bowler has bowled some very fine spells in the season already. The cricket fans in England were disappointed not to see Virat Kohli in the County Championships this year. However, the other Indian players have managed to do a fair job in the season thus far.

Cheteshwar Pujara recently slammed a ton for Yorkshire, while Varun Aaron had an impressive outing in the four-day matches for the Leicestershire team. Now, Ishant Sharma has joined the list of these performers. Ishant bagged two wickets in the recent match against Glamorgan in the Royal London One Day cup. The Sussex Sharks were unfortunate to have lost the match eventually by 6 wickets.

Ishant was the most successful bowler for his side in the game. The first wicket that he bagged in the match was an absolute beauty. He bowled a perfect length delivery that pitched on the middle stump and swung just enough to hit the top of the off stump. The Glamorgan batsman, Nicholas Selman, had absolutely no clue about the delivery.

In the match, Ishant came back to bowl his second spell later in the innings. He did well to dismiss a well set batsman, Brown, on 34. However, the efforts of the pacer were overshadowed by a fighting unbeaten 95 from the Glamorgan skipper Colin Ingram.

Ingram anchored his side in the run chase to cross the target of 278 with 10 balls to spare. In the points table, Ishant’s team, Sussex Sharks, languish at the 7th position in the South Group. They have only won two out of the seven matches played. They are unlikely to make it through to the next round. Ishant will soon leave England to join the Indian team for the one off Test against Afghanistan.
