Team India speedster Ishant Sharma had a decent home season for the national side in the longest format of the game. Despite being the senior most bowler of the side, he failed to attract any bidders in the IPL auction this year. He had set his base price as high as INR 2 Crore but that seemed to have backfired for him. His lackluster performances in the shortest format of the game was being noted as the reason why he missed the bus for the most extravagant T20 league in the world.

The fact that rookie uncapped players like T Natarajan and K Gowtham managed to attract high bids at the auction only added salt to the wounds of the Delhi speedster. Interestingly though, some good news came to the doorsteps of Ishant Sharma a day before the 10th edition of the IPL kick starts. The Kings XI Punjab franchise drafted him in their squad and hence India’s Test spearhead will now be a part of the IPL 2017.

Later on the day, Ishant took to the social media platform Twitter to share words of wisdom with his fans. His words reflected that he was in a totally balanced frame of mind and was unfazed with all the unwanted things happening to him. Instead, he was determined to see the brighter side of things.

He wrote, “Life is reflection of our own thought. Be positive, be happy and most important – be good to all”. He also shared a picture along with his tweet that a message on the similar lines of thought. The picture read, “What goes around comes around. Keep your circle positive. Speak good words. Think good thoughts. Do good deeds.”.

Whether the thoughts and his words had anything to do with his recent signing in the IPL, remains to be an unknown story. For now, the fans can surely take a cue from the words of wisdom the pacer has in store for his fans. The 2017 edition of the IPL kickstarts on April 5. Kings XI Punjab play their first match against Rising Pune Supergiant on April 8.
