'It pains that my images are being used to mislead people' - Sachin Tendulkar on his morphed images used to promote Casino

Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar‘s morphed images had been used to promote a Casino named ‘Big Daddy’ in Goa and the former Indian captain had recently confirmed that he would take legal action for the misusage. Tendulkar had been a great servant to the Indian cricket team for almost 24 years since making his debut at the age of 16 and he holds most of the records in the book until now.

Tendulkar represented India in 200 Tests, 463 ODIs and 1 T20I scoring more than 34,000 international runs across formats and he is the only man in the world to have scored 100 international centuries so far. Having announced his retirement in 2013, Tendulkar has been looked up as a mentor of the Mumbai Indians franchise in IPL and there have been talks of BCCI looking to get him into an official role in the development of Indian cricket like his former teammates, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman.

Tendulkar posted a message for his fans on social media of his legal team looking to take action against the Casino and confirmed that he has nothing to do with gambling, tobacco or alcohol in any way. He revealed the pain behind seeing his images being used in the wrong manner to mislead people.

“While my legal team will be taking the required action, I felt it was important for me to share this information with everyone.”

“It has come to my notice that there are multiple ads being shown on social media platforms, with a morphed photo showing me endorsing a casino.”

“I have never endorsed gambling, tobacco or alcohol – directly or indirectly, in an individual capacity. It pains to see that my images are being used to mislead people,” Tendulkar’s tweet read

Tendulkar has a huge fan base in India and is portrayed to be among the greatest batters in cricket history. The 48-year-old was the first cricketer to have scored a double century in ODIs.
