Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has very good relations with his Indian counterparts across the border. Until a few years ago, he used to be in India for a long time most for the times as commentator and keeps on recalling the good time with the Indian cricketers and even the celebrities as well.

Interestingly, there was a rumour a few years ago that Akhtar and Salman Khan ran shirtless on the streets of Bandra and it spread like wildfire in India and Pakistan both countries. However, the Rawalpindi Express has now revealed that it was a totally fake news and nothing of such sorts happened between the two.

Moreover, Shoaib Akhtar also revealed that he, Salman and Katrina Kaif were together and the Bollywood actor had asked him to eat with him before leaving. “We were at this place, myself, Katrina Kaif and Salman… Salman had asked me to eat with him before leaving. So, Salman being Salman, he can’t see one thing – if your hands are empty, he’ll give you a watch, if your shirt is dirty because of the party, he’ll give you a new one.

“He just gave me one shirt that day, we had a similar size, and we were at his house only. Then we ate and everything and returned to Lahore. Here, in the morning I see the news that ‘Salman Khan and Shoaib Akhtar ran shirtless in Bandra,” he said while speaking to Sportskeeda.

Even Shahrukh Khan had called me to ask it, remembers Akhtar

Shoaib Akhtar also recalled that his friend Shahrukh Khan also called him the next morning to ask about the rumour. “Even Shah Rukh Khan called me and asked if we did it. I told him no and that I was at Salman’s house, he gave me his shirt because mine was dirty, we ate and I came back but it was all widespread in Pakistan. So, this was fake news. No such incident happened where we raced shirtless or anything,” Akhtar added.
