Social media has become a platform where celebrities post, interact and engage with their fans as well as with their compatriots. While sometimes it may lead to a heated engagement, on other occasions, it leads to a thread of mutual banter.

The latest cricketer set to join the bandwagon is the chinaman leg-spinner, Kuldeep Yadav. The left-arm leg-spinner, who is currently on the sidelines in the T20I format thanks to India experimenting with the fringe players, took to Instagram to share a promotional video where he can be seen shaving off his beard.

Chahal, Bumrah roast Kuldeep with Raina joining the bandwagon too

In the latest video, Yadav can be seen demonstrating the soothing experience of shaving, captioning his post as ‘Ab #NoMoreFoamo chillate hai, howzatt nahi! #SkinkaGuardian #BreakTheBeard”. But the video, as well as the caption that Kuldeep had posted, didn’t go unnoticed. His partner-in-crime Yuzvendra Chahal was the first one to take a cheeky dig at the Chinaman.

After Yuzvendra Chahal, it was Jazzy B [Japrit Bumrah’s] time to take another cheeky dig at Kuldeep. The premier fast bowler, who is currently been rested for the T20I series against South Africa was flabbergasted at what the Chinaman was up to, and borrowing lines from Akshay Kumar’s Welcome asked Yadav, “Bhaissab ye aap konsi field me aa gaye,”

But, Yadav’s misery did not end there. The latest to join the bandwagon was former Indian all-rounder Suresh Raina, who asked Kuldeep, “Yehhhh kyaaa hain” [What is it]

Not too bothered about T20I snub

Meanwhile, Kuldeep is not at all fussed about having being sidelined from the T20I set-up. “I am not worried about not being picked for the last two T20I series. Maybe the selectors felt I needed a break. Maybe the team thinks some changes are required. I respect that, and I have no complaints. I see this as an opportunity to do well in Tests,” the 24-year-old cricketer said.
