Jasprit Bumrah is the world's best bowler, say Yuvraj Singh and Sachin Tendulkar

Mumbai Indians (MI) clinched the last ball thriller in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to win their record fourth title. While the world is hailing the Sri Lankan veteran Lasith Malinga for bowling an impeccable last over, Jasprit Bumrah too stole the thunder for his fantastic spell. His figures of 2/14 in the final are one of the best ever and deservedly won the Man of the Match for his efforts.

Every time, MI looked out of the game after conceding runs in Krunal Pandya and Malinga’s overs, Bumrah followed it with a 2-3 run over to keep the team in the hunt. He also sent back Ambati Rayudu in his second over when the team needed some wickets and responded whenever it mattered the most. No wonder, he will also be the most important player for India in the World Cup and the legendary cricketers are already falling for the young superstar.

Yuvi and Sachin agree

After the match, amidst all the celebrations, Yuvraj Singh interviewed the MI team icon Sachin Tendulkar and the duo spoke about Jasprit Bumrah and his impeccable abilities. Tendulkar was rather immensely impressed with him and went on to say that he is the best bowler in the world at the moment. Yuvraj too agreed with him at the same time to stamp Bumrah’s authority.

“Without any doubt, let me go on record and say he is the best bowler in the world at this stage and the best is yet to come, hopefully,” Sachin said. Yuvraj Singh, on the other hand, was quoted as saying by official IPL website saying, ” He is bowling the best I have seen in his career.”

With Bumrah set to play the World Cup, the Indian fans will be hoping that he replicates a similar kind of form at the mega event and most importantly, win his team, the title.
