India has always been a country where the batsmen became the superstars. But Jasprit Bumrah has changed the notion with the way he has played ever since making his debut at the highest level. His rise has inspired many across the world and more than anything the youngster’s bowling action has hogged the limelight. The videos of the kids imitating his action have gone viral before. However, this time an old lady is shining on social media for trying his Bumrah’s bowling action at home and he is loving it as well.

When the cricketer first played in the Indian Premier League (IPL), not many gave him the chance to succeed pointing out the flaws in his bowling action. But working with Lasith Malinga, Jasprit Bumrah improved leaps and bounds in a couple of years and is now the World’s number 1 bowler. He was literally unplayable in the World Cup and most teams looked to play him out.

Deservedly, he picked 18 wickets in nine matches and is at the fourth position in the list of highest wicket-takers. If India had made it to the finals of the tournament, the fast bowler would’ve definitely climbed the charts.

Made my day

The video of the old lady mimicking Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling action has gone viral like anything and the fans are loving it to the hilt. No wonder the video reached India’s best bowler as well and it has left the 25-year-old immensely happy.

“Just like the rest of us, the mothership was so impressed with Bumrah’s performance in the world cup, that she decided to mimic his run-up,” the tweet which shared the video read. Bumrah, after watching the video, wrote, “This made my day.”

Here’s the video:

As far as Jasprit Bumrah is concerned, he is likely to be rested for the T20I and ODI series against the Windies which is set to start on August 3. He has been playing continuously for a long time and deserves a little bit of rest ahead of the Tests against the Caribbean side.
