Twitter has brought the fans closer to their beloved cricketers more than ever. The players and the fans interact with each other on a daily basis thanks to the social media platform. But more often than not, the fans create unwanted situations by trying to disrespect or troll the cricketers. Recently a similar incident took place involving Saurashtra star and out-of-favour India pacer Jaydev Unadkat.

Most of the times the fans get away with their mean tweets. But this time around, Unadkat made sure he gave a fan a fitting reply after the latter’s disrespectful tweet. It all began when Jaydev Unadkat took to Twitter to hail his Indian Premier League (IPL) teammate Steve Smith‘s heroics in the ongoing Ashes. Smith, on Saturday, came up with yet another superb knock for Australia to keep his team in the game at Lord’s.

While the other batsmen fell like a pack of cards, the former Australia captain scored his third consecutive fifty-plus score in the ongoing Ashes. It was Smith’s knock that kept Australia on track for a respectable total. It was also his seventh consecutive fifty-plus score against England in Tests. Impressed with Smith’s consistency, Unadkat compared him with the legendary Don Bradman while tweeting: “A master-class in action! What a fighter this guy..  @stevesmith49 #Bradmansque”

This is when one of his followers decided to have some fun at his expense as he called him a member of the Ashok Dinda Academy. The Dinda Academy jibe is used by some fans whenever a pacer experiences a bad day on the field. During this year’s IPL, there was a huge controversy surrounding the term when Dinda himself took to Twitter to slam the trolls.

The situation had gone out of hands when the Twitter handle of Royal Challengers Bangalore also used the term. Coming to the latest incident, the fan tweeted: “Aur tuu Ashok Dinda academy ka member chu****”

The tweet from the fan was noticed by Jaydev Unadkat and he made sure to give him a fitting reply. It was a classy tweet from the left-arm pacer as he shot back at the fan by saying: “Don’t you people have anything else to focus on? Seriously? So much hatred & jealousy for what?”
