Jimmy Neesham continues to hit the ball out of the park on Twitter. There is absolutely no stopping the New Zealand star when it comes to posting funny tweets. Neesham’s trademark tweets have made him one of the most popular cricketers on social media. And he came up with yet another trademark tweet after a fan welcomed him at Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The trading window for the upcoming edition of the IPL came to an end on Friday (November 15). Unlike the past seasons, the just-concluded window was a big affair with as many as 11 players shifting their bases. The likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mayank Markande highlighted the trade deals.

Then on Friday, the teams released the list of the players they have retained and released. The auction for IPL 2020 will take place on December 19 in Kolkata. All eyes are now on the auction as all the eight teams will be looking to add finishing touches to their squad for yet another exciting season. Amidst all these, one Royal Challengers Bangalore fan came up with a tweet, welcoming Neesham to the franchise.

It all started after Neesham liked an Instagram post of Mike Hesson, the former New Zealand coach who is currently Director of Cricket Operations at the franchise. The fan posted an image showing Neesham’s like on the post and wrote, “Welcome aboard @JimmyNeesh @RCBTweets”

In reply, Neesham came up with a typical comment, writing, “I liked @CoachHesson’s Instagram of his new house, doesn’t mean I’m moving in”

Sunrisers Hyderabad fan enters the discussion

With Jimmy Neesham shutting down the Royal Challengers fan, a Sunrisers Hyderabad fan tried his luck and he would have been all smiles after the reply from the star cricketer. After Neesham made it more or less clear that his liking of the post had nothing to do with his interest in the IPL team, the Sunrisers fan asked whether Neesham would move to his franchise.

In reply, the allrounder came up with an interesting reply, writing: “I would follow Kane out of the trenches wherever that maybe”

Neesham’s New Zealand captain Kane Williamson is the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Well, it would be interesting to see whether the allrounder puts his name in the auction list or not. He has previously plied his trade for Delhi Capitals before being bought by Kolkata Knight Riders.
