Joe Root and David Warner put an end to differences over a beer: Ashes series wind up was followed by a big celebration from the hosts, England who won the series 3-2. The Australians joined in the celebration, putting aside the differences. The highlight of the celebration was Joe Root and David Warner who have ended their glove game over a beer and posted a picture together. Both were seen bonding, as Joe Root posted a picture with Warner in the social networking site first time since their nightclub fight two years ago.

Warner threw a punch at Root during a drinking session at the Walkabout Bar in Edgbaston in 2013, who was wearing a green and gold wig, as warner thought that Root was mocking Hashim Amla, the South African batsman. This cost Warner to lose his spot in the first two Tests of Ashes 2013 and further to add fuel to the fire he was forcibly asked to fly to South Africa and play with the Australian A team.

The picture is the evidence of closing differences between the two. Both, Joe Root and David Warner posed with their fists in position, as if ready to box. The Ashes series ended yesterday with Australia winning the last match but losing the series from 3-2 to England.

Root tweeted “Very good of the Aussie lads to come across for a drink and enjoy whats been a great series #rumbleintheashes”  As the Aussies came on the join the English players for the celebrations after the series ended.

To which Warner replied “Was a great series, well done England!! #ashes2015”.  Stuart Broad and Peter Nevill can be seen smiling at the background of the picture.

In the beginning of the Ashes series Warner put forward why he charged a punch on the face of young Joe Root, “A mate of mine was actually wearing it on top of his head like a Malinga wig, that’s what it was,” Warner told Fairfax Media. “He was wearing it on his head and (Root) decided to come in and take it off my mate’s head and start acting the way he did.

“When people are drunk that’s what they do but I thought it was a bit inappropriate the way he went about that stuff so I went over and tried to take it off him. I just think in today’s society you shouldn’t be fooling around with that kind of stuff. And he probably didn’t mean anything by it at all but I just thought … actually I can’t say I thought … I probably let my aggression and alcohol take over there and probably made an excuse for me to go over there and actually take it off him.”

To this Root replied to let Warner know that he wasn’t happy with the reason Warner has given to the media for his actions.

“Disappointing to have my character questioned – those who know me realise how ridiculous Warner’s excuse for hitting me sounds but that’s his choice to try and justify his actions. I’m just extremely excited about next week and getting back out there.”

The tiff between the two finally seem to come to an end with the series fold.
