England’s latest sensation Jofra Archer has been hogging the limelight for his performances on the field. He was brilliant in the semi-final against Australia and has admirably led the bowling attack. He will be hoping to do the same in the final against New Zealand as well at the home of cricket. However, his old tweets are also in the headlines these days and it seems that Archer has tweeted literally for every situation a few years ago.

A lot of his tweets are going viral now and those hilariously match with a lot of events happened in the ongoing World Cup. Rather, close to 15 of his tweets matched with the happenings of the second semi-final which took place on Thursday at the Edgbaston. One of them was Alex Carey getting hit on the helmet and Archer had tweeted previously instructing the batsmen to carry two helmets with them before facing him.

However, when asked about this coincidence, Jofra Archer wasn’t much fussed about it. The Caribbean born cricketer cleared that he had tweeted those things from back home when he was yet to move to England.

I think they’re just being recycled

“I’ve seen it but I don’t know why it should be a big thing. It’s just social media, that’s all it’s there for. I used to do it by just watching cricket when I was back home, I wasn’t even in England when I tweeted half of those stuff! I think they’re just being recycled. Genuinely, some were series, some were World Cups,” Jofra Archer was quoted as saying by CricketNext.

The 24-year-old’s exceptional white-ball performances have led to the experts calling for his inclusion into the Ashes team as well for the Ashes which is set to commence on August 1. Jofra Archer isn’t worried about that though and wants to concentrate first on the upcoming World Cup final.

“After Sunday I’ll probably answer that but for now I’m just focusing on the final,” he said when asked about the possible Ashes call-up.

Here are some of Archer’s tweets:

1. The man himself got Finch this time

2. Carey was hit on the helmet

3. During Roy’s blitzkrieg

4. After Roy was given out wrongly

5. Archer’s wish was granted
