Revealing their all-time XI’s is the current trend going around in the cricketing universe. After his teammates Alastair Cook, Alex Hales, and David Willey. Jonny Bairstow unveils his all time XI. Lord’s Cricket Ground posted a video from their official Youtube channel where the England wicket-keeping batsman is seen explaining his picks in the all-time XI.

His playing XI consists of only one Indian player – Sachin Tendulkar. Three England players – Test skipper Alastair Cook, Joe Root and James Anderson. From South Africa, he has picked four players that include AB de Villiers, Jacques Kallis, Hashim Amla and Dale Steyn. Mitchell Johnson and Shane Warne are the Australians included by Bairstow. From West Indies, Brian Lara gets the position as the no.3 batsman in the all-time XI.

At the top, he has England’s opening batsman and Test captain Alastair Cook and South African classic opener Hashim Amla. Brian Lara gets the third position in the batting slot.

“No.1 and captain, Alastair Cook, the all-time leading run-scorer for England, very easy decision. No.2 Hashim Amla, Speaking about himself, sustainability and unique. Lara is my no.3 batsman especially for his 400 in Tests and 501 in First Class cricket.” He said.

Indian legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar gets the No.4 position after Brian Lara. South African Mr. 360 AB de Villiers usually plays his part in the middle and this time, he is at No.5 and also the wicket-keeper in Bairstow’s XI.

“Sachin Tendulkar at No.4, the all-time leading run-scorer, the magician, he was absolutely fantastic for such long period of time. No.5 and wicket-keeper AB de Villiers,  he is just doing the things people are never dreamt of doing in ODI, Tests, and T20Is.” Added Bairstow

Jacques Kallis as an all-rounder while Joe Root will come down the order at no.7. The bowling department is strong with just one spinner Shane Warne while the pacer bowling attack comprises of Dale Steyn, Mitchell Johnson, and England’s all-time leading wicket-taker James Anderson

“No.6 I am going for Jack Kallis, all-rounder, catches at the second slip, ridiculous with the bat and bowling as well. No.7 Joe Root, yes, I am afraid he is down at no.7 still under 25 scored a ridiculous number of runs for England in all forms of cricket and I am sure he will break many records in the years to come.” explained the 26-year-old wicket-keeper.
