England wicketkeeper, Jonny Bairstow on Sunday, added another splendid catch to his record. But this catch was a little different from the usual ones he traps between his gloves from behind the stumps. Bairstow took the catch from the England dressing Room at the Old Trafford Cricket Stadium, off a shot for a mighty 6 from the bat of his team mate, Moeen Ali.

The ongoing 4-match test series between England and South Africa is about to come to an end with the 4th Test Match in it’s 4th day. While England won the first test by a humongous margin of 211 runs, South Africa bounced back into the series with a victory in the 2nd Test by a even bigger margin of 340 runs.

The third test was once again, clinched by England, who lead the series by a margin of 2-1 currently. The last test is delicately balanced, with South Africa still needing 200 odd runs to win the match, with 7 wickets in hand and another day remaining.

Jonny Baistow takes a blinder off Moeen Ali’s big hit

England batting all-rounder, Moeen Ali has been in astounding form off late. In the third day of the 4th test, on Sunday, England stood at the score of 200-7 in their first innings at Old Trafford, having accrued a lead of 336 runs. Ali, in particular, went all guns blazing at South Africa‘s bowling attack and hit almost every bowler out of the park.

Come the 63rd over of the day, Ali strode down the pitch with panache and smashed a delivery from Keshav Maharaj, back over the bowler’s head towards the pavilion. Incidentally, this shot also brought up the half-century for the 30-year old batsman.

What caught everybody’s eyes was when the ball reached the host team’s dressing room, it was Jonny Bairstow who took a clean catch and grinned from ear to ear, before throwing the ball back on to the ground. Both his team mates in the pavilion as well as the crowd cheered for Bairstow’s catch as well as Ali’s spectacular half-century. Moeen Ali scored a blistering knock of 75 runs off just 66 balls in England’s first innings of the test match.
