Due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, the entire world has come to a standstill. All events that include mass gathering have been cancelled. People have been strictly advised to stay at home and not go outside. The Coronavirus has led to many sporting events either being postponed or cancelled. In fact, cricket seems to be one of the sports which has taken a hit.

During the outbreak of the coronavirus, the New Zealand cricket team was in Australia playing the ODI series. After the first ODI, which was played behind the closed doors in Sydney earlier this month, the series had to be cancelled due to the massive growth in the numbers of Coronavirus affected patients across the globe.

The subsequent T20I series that was supposed to be held in New Zealand between the two sides was also cancelled. All the Kiwi cricketers were told to self isolate themselves post their return to home.

‘Sandy in the slips’ – Kane Williamson captions the video

However, it seems New Zealand captain Kane Williamson is having a gala time at his home. Williamson, who was supposed to be representing Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2020, is now staying back home as the tournament has been postponed until any further notice.

In a video on Twitter, Kane Williamson can be spotted having a lot of fun with his dog playing in his backyard. In the slow-motion video, Williamson, holding a bat in his hand, could be seen giving a simple slip catch to his dog.

Surprisingly, the dog, Sandy, without failing responds to his master’s shot and catches the ball with his mouth. Kane Williamson was elated after seeing his dog catch the ball with perfection just like he does on the cricket field.

After a sensational year in 2019, Kane Williamson started this year with a little bit of disappointment. David Warner replaced him as the captain of the Sunrisers’ franchise for the to 2020 season. David Warner who had led the Sunrisers till 2017 was at the helm when the franchise won the title in 2016.
