Kevin Pietersen adopts a baby leopard in India

Out of favor English cricketer Kevin Pietersen has been actively voicing out his concerns for the wildlife in the recent times. The former English skipper has devoted a major part of his time for safeguarding the interests of the wildlife. He certainly is an animal lover and is trying his best for their cause. In a recent move, Pietersen adopted a baby leopard!

Albeit this might sound a little absurd but is true. Kevin Pietersen has adopted an orphaned baby leopard in the city of Raipur (state of Chhattisgarh) in India. He was quick to post an update about the same on the social media to confirm the news. KP is now all set to make a visit to India to catch up with his adopted baby leopard.

KP posted a very adorable video of the same and also added an eye-opening caption to it. He confirmed the adoption and had some numbers to go along with it. He noted that close to 40 leopards have been killed in the month of January in India.

Out of this, a good portion, as high as one third of the total killings have been by the poachers. In order to help and do his bit, Kevin Pietersen decided to adopt the baby leopard. He also asked his fans to guess the name that he has in mind for his new adopted baby.

Interestingly, this is not the first post from KP on the social media related to the wildlife protection. He has been posting updates to save the Rhinos in Africa. Also, he had recently expressed his happiness after ivory trading was declared illegal in China.
