The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is just a couple of days away to create a buzz in the world of cricket. Following the trend, fans and experts gave started putting out their opinions over different issues related to the game.
In the latest turn of events, former English batsman Kevin Pietersen has landed in the Gulf country to be part of the broadcasting team of the mega event. The first exciting thing that the batsman did after touching UAE was predicting the winner of IPL 2020.
Pietersen was recently doing his commentary job in the recently summed up T20I series between England and Australia. Now, the former player has left the shores of Southampton to be part of the upcoming T20 extravaganza.
Commenting on who might win the IPL 2020, the batsman took to his Instagram and wrote- “From a bubble in the UK to a bubble in Dubai…! I love that we have cricket back and as always very excited about working on the IPL. Who’s winning? I hope Delhi.”
Back to the times when Pieterson was in action with his bat, he has represented Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils, and Rising Pune Supergiant in the history of IPL.
Delhi Capitals looking forward to making a mark in IPL 2020
The DC side would be led by Shreyas Iyer, who will try his best along with the Delhi squad to win their maiden IPL trophy. They are with Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab on the side who haven’t won a single trophy in the IPL history. The side can expect something big this time with some significant introduction of players like Ravi Ashwin and Ajinkya Rahane in their lot.
The much-awaited league is ready to get in action on September 19 with two heavyweights of the tournament Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indian taking on against each in the opening match.
The Delhi franchise will kick off their journey in the 13th edition of the IPL on September 20 against Kings XI Punjab at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. All the matches of IPL are set to get in action across three cities of UAE, namely Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah.
