We are all set to see the legends of the sport in action, as the Road Safety World Series will commence on 5th March 2021, when the Sachin Tendulkar led India Legends take on the Khaled Mahmud led Bangladesh Legends. And, the players have already started indulging in some banter.

Kevin Pietersen and Yuvraj Singh are two of the most ‘colorful’ characters in the game of cricket. And, both these legends will be taking part in the tournament. Ahead of the competition, Pietersen decided to pull Yuvraj’s leg after the latter posted on Instagram.

Yuvraj posed in front of some lush green plants and stated that as the citizens of this planet, it is the duty of all its citizens to protect wildlife. He ended his post by stating that each action that people take towards the improvement of wildlife makes a difference.

However, Kevin Pietersen decided to respond to the post from Yuvraj. The England cricketer commented on Yuvraj’s post and stated that Yuvraj would have to fetch his ‘balls’ next week from the place where he has posed. You can watch Yuvraj’s post and Pietersen’s response to it below.

Yuvraj Singh and Kevin Pietersen have amassed glittering numbers in international cricket

Both Yuvraj Singh and Kevin Pietersen will go down as two of the most flamboyant willow wielders of their era. While Yuvraj featured in 304 ODI matches for India and plundered 8701 runs in ODI cricket, Pietersen scored 4440 runs in the ODI format for the England side at an average of 40.73.

Yuvraj is also the only Indian batsman to have scored 6 sixes in an over in T20Is. The left hander achieved the rare feat against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup, where he literally reduced pacer Stuart Broad to tears. Pietersen is the sixth highest run scorer for England in the whites, and has amassed 8181 runs at an average of 47.28 in Test match cricket. He has also scored 23 centuries for England in the longest format of the game.
