The Tasmanian government has imposed a fine on the Shane Warne group that had a driven the car without a seatbelt. Kevin Pietersen, Mark Taylor, and Ian Healy are the others who are the others who are charged with not wearing a seatbelt during their recent visit to Tasmania. They have been slapped with a fine of USD 300 each by the Tasmanian Police for not wearing seatbelts during a recent visit to Hobart.

The incident occurred a few days back when Shane Warne decided to go live on social media handle Facebook when he posted a four-minute video on the page to interact with the fans and commentators. This occurred shortly after the third day’s play between Australia and South Africa at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart.

While they were interacting with the fans, none were wearing the seatbelt at the start. Mark Taylor, who was driving quickly fastened the seatbelt after which Ian Healy also followed suit given the fact that he was seated in the front seat. Even though they immediately put on the seatbelts, it was possibly a little late. A police official affiliated with the Tasmanian police went on to give a statement to the media.

“The infringements for failing to wear a seatbelt were issued after police reviewed a video posted on one of the men’s Facebook page,” police said in a brief statement.

“Tasmania Police reminds motorists that seat belts save lives and urge drivers to insist their passengers buckle up too,” police said.

However, this is not the only controversy prevailing in recent times. The ‘lollygate’ scandal has been taken to a whole new level when South African skipper Faf du Plessis was fined for shining the ball with his lolly mint. However, du Plessis will play in the third and final Test at Adelaide.
