Kevin Pietersen might have been forced out of international cricket, but he remains in touch with his cricketing pals through social media. Thanks to T20 leagues around the world, Kevin Pietersen is not only quite popular with the fans around the world, he has bonded with cricketers all around the world. And Pietersen does not refuse to speak about his colleagues via his Twitter & Facebook handle, as his fans are quite familiar with it.
And Pietersen’s latest target is Ahmed Shehzad. The Pakistani batsman, who was called up into the team as a last-minute resort, was instrumental in Pakistan’s resounding victory over Bangladesh yesterday; scoring a 39 ball 52 in his comeback game for Pakistan. Shehzad, who was dropped from the international team following a poor streak of form over the past year and a half, took the god gifted opportunity for cementing his place in the playing XI for the coming matches in the World T20. His knock consisted of some excellent shots all over the park.
However, he was dismissed trying to emulate MS Dhoni’s famous helicopter shot, which he was successful in mistiming it perfectly, eventually resulting a simple catch for Bangladesh’s Mahmudullah.
Kevin Pietersen posted an archived picture of the duo using his twitter handle. The picture was taken by Shehzad; his trademark selfie along with a few of his Quetta Gladiators teammates including Kevin Pietersen. Pietersen congratulated the team for a spectacular performance, but however, mocked Ahmed Shehzad for trying to emulate MS Dhoni’s helicopter shot. However, he appreciated the right-handed batsman for an excellent knock, in spite of missing out on a chance to score a century in T20Is.
Love seeing the good guys do so well! Well done yesterday, @iahmadshahzad! Top batting but leave the helicopter shots to…
