Khulna Titans rope in Chadwick Walton prior to the Bangladesh Premier League

As we inch closer to the Bangladesh Premier League, the Khulna Titans have bolstered their squad in a late move. The club got a major boost as West Indian wicketkeeper batsman Chadwick Walton will now don their jersey. The player was roped into to strengthen the batting department and the news was announced on the franchise’s official Facebook page.

Chadwick Walton is in the form of his life at the moment as he has taken the Caribbean Premier League by storm. The power hitting opener stands as the tournament’s highest run getter with 458 runs to his name. The Jamaican also possesses an impressive strike rate of 145.85 in the 5th edition of the tournament.

“Khulna Titans are pleased to announce that the West Indian wicket keeper batsman Chadwick Walton will join the Titans family in this year’s BPL 2017,” the franchise said in their Facebook post.

Chadwick Walton is featuring for the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League. His lethal T20 abilities and the flawless current form will make the Khulna Titans a strong contender for the title. The West Indian has featured for the West Indies in 2 Test matches and 8 One Day Internationals to date. As far as the 20 over format is concerned the batsman has represented the national times on 11 occasions with the highest score of 40. His last T20 came against the Indians on July 9, 2017 in which West Indies secured a comprehensive victory.
