The 13th match of the Kia Women’s Super League 2019 will be played between Yorkshire Diamonds and Western Storm at the York Cricket Club in York.
The match starts at 2:30 PM local time (7:00 PM IST) (1:30 PM GMT).
Western Storm is cruising in the Kia Super League 2019 having won all four matches they played. In their previous match against Loughborough Lightning, the Western Storm registered a 40-run. That win helped the Storm to claim a bonus point. The last year’s sensation Smriti Mandhana has been restricted to 20s-30s only. But Heather Knight has managed to cover it up with consecutive 35+ scores.
They will now tour York Cricket Club venue for facing the Yorkshire Diamonds. The Diamonds suffered back to back defeats against Surrey Stars and Loughborough Lightning in the first week. However, they bounced back on Tuesday against Lancashire Thunder where they got over the line by a narrow margin on nine runs while defending their total of 151.
York is expected to be cloudy on Thursday but no rain is expected during the day. The weather forecast indicate 0% chances during the match timings but up to 70% for overnight rainfall.
The York Cricket Club hosted three KSL matches with the first two being high-scoring matches. However, the recent most game witnessed the Surrey Stars bundled out for just 66. However, the track for the game between Diamonds and Storm is not a turning track like in the Surrey game last season.
