One would not bet against the fact that the Indian dressing room is a joyous camp at the moment. They have offered their fans some ruthless performances, by virtue of which they have simply tossed the Lankan ship in the river of despair and won the series 3-0. The cricketers are engaging in fun activities off the field, which are sometimes caught in the camera.

One such moment was when opener KL Rahul accused Cheteshwar Pujara and other senior cricketers in the team of abusing him, taking the advantage of being more experienced. The camaraderie shared by the players clearly shows why Kohli’s team is so great as a unit nowadays. The FIFA competitors shared a light hearted moment where both the players are trying to the pull the leg of their national side counterparts.

In the video released by the BCCI, Pujara is seen emulating a reporter, to interview Rahul. After speaking about their FIFA addiction, the duo shifted focus to trolling each other. It all began when Pujara mocked the injury prone nature of the opener by saying “Whenever I visit NCA nowadays, I see only one footprint and that is of KL Rahul. So, tell me about that, bro. Has this transitioned?”

Rahul replied, “Don’t ask me, Puj. I don’t like going to the NCA for rehab. It’s been a tough time going to NCA. I mean, I enjoy going there for training and for practice, and not for rehab. Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of injuries on the way and I think I hold you equally responsible for my injuries because you don’t share the short-leg duties with me now. You are abusing the youngster.”

Pujara was not ready to take the blame on himself and said that Rahul is one of the best short-leg fielders in India. But the elegant cricketer, who has an answer for every ball, answered to this bouncer from Puj saying “I’m still learning and getting better at my short-leg skills but Pujara is the legend of short-leg. Every time he is at that position, he makes wicket happen. The ball just seems to find him, so I’ve been putting pressure on him to be there all day and take the responsibility and take one for the team.”

The Indian No.3 Test batter then said that another opener Murali Vijay has formed an alliance with KL. “One person who will agree with him is Murali Vijay. Both of them have ganged up on me. They say that I’m the best but I feel Rahul has improved a lot,” he said.

But little did he know that by saying this, he would be further cementing Rahul’s stand point. And went on to accuse him of abuse, by saying “This is clear indication that the senior-junior thing is still happening in the dressing room. The seniors are abusing youngsters like me.” This light hearted moment is making rounds in digital platforms.
