Krunal Pandya and Rashid Khan have been discussing new strategies and mutual understanding on Twitter as they had quite an extended conversation. The left-arm spinner was in England with the India A team where they played England Lions in a List A series. He also got a surprise call-up in the Indian T20I squad when Washington Sundar was injured ahead of the three-match series.

Rashid is also in England playing the T20 Blast for Sussex. When Krunal put up a video on Twitter, the Afghanistan spinner couldn’t stop himself and responded soon enough. Looking at the camaraderie they have it appears that the two players would have interacted during the Indian Premier League (IPL) where Krunal represents Mumbai Indians while Rashid has been with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last couple of seasons.

Krunal suggested Rashid that they should work on a surprise delivery for the spinners but at the same time not use it against one another. The Afghan was all in agreement for it and suggested an even better idea.

He asked the elder Pandya brother if they could bowl it at Hardik. The Indian all-rounder soon jumped in and said that he was ready to take on this challenge.

Krunal’s proposal- “@rashidkhan_19 , yes we should. But let’s not bowl this to each other. Deal?”

Rashid agreed to it and wrote- “Deal done @krunalpandya24 bro . Can we bowle to @hardikpandya7 Bro”

Hardik is ready.

Rashid said- “That’s call All rounder @hardikpandya7”

Where it all started

The conversation started on Krunal Pandya’s video where he bowled a bouncer at an England Lions batsman. He surprised the batter and in the caption wrote that- “Why should fast bowlers have all the fun?”

Rashid said – “Exactly we should work on it”

Rashid has had a mixed time in the T20 Blast. He got off to a really good start picking two wickets in the first two matches against Essex and Glamorgan. However, Hampshire batsmen handled him really well and the leg-spinner got just one success. In his fourth match against Surrey, he went wicket-less and will now want to make a comeback into the tournament with a bang.
