KXIP owner Preity Zinta pretty much involved despite not being at the auctions

The eight franchises got their heads together to pick the ideal players for their teams at the 2017 IPL auctions. The team staff could be seen getting their minds aligned to pick the best permutations and combinations for their respective sides. While most top bosses were present at the auction in Bengaluru, there was one owner who was missing. The dynamic Kings XI Punjab co-owner Preity Zinta was a major missing at the auction event.

Albeit the Bollywood actress could not be present at the venue, she ensured that she was very much involved with the proceedings at the venue. Throughout the day, she used social media platform Twitter to engage with the fans and the franchise during the auction. She started off the day with a tweet last night wherein she mentioned that she is very excited for the IPL auctions.

Preity Zinta was also open to all the suggestions from the fans on the social media. “How is everyone doing ? I’m all excited 4 the #IPlauction & cannot wait 4 it to start thanks for sending in all ur suggestion for #KXIP” she tweeted.

The franchise picked up as many as 8 players in the auction with Eoin Morgan being one of the most notable names. Preity later tweeted that she could not make it to the event due to some busy schedule. She, however, assured the fans that Virender Sehwag is there at the venue to take care of all the cricketing operations for the KXIP. “This year I am busy so could not make it but @virendersehwag is there to handle the auction & cricket ops. #IPLAuction,” she wrote.

She welcomed Eoin Morgan to the family of Kings XI Punjab and had a welcome tweet reserved for the English limited overs skipper. It is very much possible that the Kings could hand Morgan the captaincy role in the IPL this season. They had finished last on the points table last year and were captained by David Miller and Murali Vijay. With Morgan around, they might consider the option. “Welcome #EoinMorgan to the #Kxip family Happy to have you in the lions den. #IPLAuction” tweeted Preity Zinta.
