Quetta Gladiators had a forgettable campaign in the 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The team, captained by Sarfaraz Ahmed, failed to qualify for the playoffs. This time around, they didn’t have the best of starts either. In their opening game, they lost to Imad Wasim’s Karachi Kings.

Their batting collapsed in a horrendous manner and the Kings chased down 122 with 37 balls to spare. The Gladiators are next scheduled to lock horns with the Lahore Qalandars on Monday, February 22 at the National Stadium in Karachi. Their task won’t be any easy by any means.

Pitch and Conditions

The pitch in Karachi hasn’t shown many demons thus far, though the first few games weren’t as high-scoring as one expected it to be. Chasing has to be the way forward for the teams. There are no chances of rain with the temperature around 26 degrees. The humidity will mostly be in the 20s.

Tom Banton came up the ranks ever since he weaved magic for Somerset in the 2019 T20 Blast in England. Thereafter, he got a chance for England. He played for Peshawar Zalmi in the previous edition of the PSL. The Gladiators would be hoping for him to fire on all cylinders in the next game.
