Former IPL Chairman Lalit Modi, who is very well-known for his tussle with BCCI, slammed BCCI president Anurag Thakur and IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla. Tweeting while reacting to Supreme Courts’ lash out on BCCI, Modi termed Thakur as a ‘fixer’ and the current IPL chairman as a ‘dalal’ (broker).

The Supreme Court on Thursday gave the Anurag Thakur-led BCCI a one-day deadline to give an undertaking that it would implement all the recommendations made by the Lodha Committee. If it failed to do so at the hearing on Friday, it is very likely that the apex court will appoint it’s own set of administrators to run Indian cricket.

Lalit Modi has been on the loggerheads with the BCCI since 2013. The RCA biggie was banned for life after a committee found him guilty on charges of misconduct, indiscipline, and financial irregularities. Modi compared Thakur with former BCCI president N. Srinivasan saying that his time of punishment has come.

He wrote: “Just like #Srinivasan – @ianuragthakur the noose needed around your neck is about to be executed. U are the original fixer as I have said.”

He didn’t stop with one tweet and posted a series of tweet throughout the day after the BCCI tweeted out the resume of their president on Thursday, Modi questioned Thakur’s credentials and accused him of using his father’s political influence to climb up the administrative ladder and attain powerful positions in HPCA and BCCI.

He also went onto clarify that how his resolution of not allotting any part of the profit from IPL and CLT20 to state association until the verification of expenditure is carried was turned down by Thakur because he felt it affect the vote banks.

Supporting the recommendations made by the Lodha panel, Modi promised full adherence to them by the Rajasthan Cricket Association.
