Lalit Modi names Three CSK players to have taken Bribes during IPL Matches: For yet another time, the stinking notes of the Indian Premier League have again put to question of it’s chastity. Of late, the former IPL chief, Lalit Modi has made a statement that some of the players from the team Chennai Super Kings were involved in spot fixing and even received bribes from a bookmaker named Baba Diwan. Baba Diwan, an alleged bookmaker happens to give the players flats in addition to the monetary benefits.
Ravindra Jadeja, Suresh Raina and Dwayne Bravo are the three players against whom Lalit Modi has raised his fingers for the matter. As a matter of fact, three of the players play for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. In the past too, the chastity of the team, CSK has been questioned owing to several issues.
London-based Lalit Modi has tweeted a letter and he claims to have sent the letter to the ICC CEO, Dave Richardson in June, 2013 passing on “some information I have just got.”
The former IPL chief also claimed that huge money are being bet on IPL matches. He also went onto state that the likes of BCCI, Anurag Thakur and India Cements are somewhat trying to deceive the public and the fans on matters related to betting.
Modi tweeted, “”Again these jokers in @BCCI @ICC @IPL #indiacements @ianuragthakur trying 2 hoodwink us all in regard to #illegal betting quantum.”
He even stated that as much as 9000-10000 crore per game are being bet on IPL matches. According to him, Modi tried to alarm the media sources of it and tried to get them knowledgeable for the same.
He further tweeted, “I have been saying for years – wake up media fellows it’s more like 9000-10,000 crores per game. Why do u think #monster is trying to stay #put on his #chair. That’s where he gets his #raw #material to fund his #buying of #votes, #politicians, #players”
Also, he posted a snapshot of the letter which he sent the ICC chief, Dave Richardson.
