Former South African international Lance Klusener has named MS Dhoni and Micahel Bevan as the greatest finishers the game of cricket has ever seen. Klusener is currently associated with the Lyca Kovai Kings (LKK) as the head coach in the 2nd edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL).

In an interview with The Times of India, Lance Klusener hailed the match winning capabilities of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Michael Bevan. Klusener claimed that one can never rule these players out in a cricket match and the match is far from over when they are at the crease.

“Michael Bevan (former Australian batsman) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni…They are such consistent performers towards the end of the innings. The game is not over when they are playing in the middle.” said Lance Klusener.

The Marylebone Cricket Club that owns the iconic Lord’s Stadium recently came up with a proposal to reduce the sizes of cricket bats. However, the 45-year-old thinks that altering the size of the bats won’t have any effect on anyone. “I don’t think reducing bat sizes will have any effect on anybody whatsoever.”

Legendary Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is undoubtedly one of the greatest match winners to grace the 22 yards. While the sight of MS Dhoni finishing a match with a six is a familiar one, the power hitter does it calmly and with ease. The number of matches Dhoni has finished in his 13-year long international career is countless and the batsman has emerged to be the most lethal death over batsman of all time. Dhoni also guided India to victory in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 not only as a captain but also with the bat. The Ranchi-born cricketer played a stellar knock of 91 and finished the match with a six.

Michael Bevan was no less as a finisher in his cricketing career. Averaging a staggering 53.58 in One Day Internationals, the left handed genius was often hailed as the best limited over batsman in the world. Bevan has been involved in numerous last ball finishes and dramatic run chases but his cricketing career came to an end during the 2003-2004 period.
