Match no 42 of the Indian Premier League witnessed action between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Hyderabad. In what was a must-win game for SRH, they flaunted their dominance defeating RCB by five wickets. Batting first, RCB were dismal and saw an end to their innings with just 120 runs on the board. Their usual heroes failed to rise on the occasion, and Josh Philippe’s 32 off 31 was the highest score from a batter from their artillery.

Sandeep Sharma was named as the player of the match for his class pace bowling, where he knocked down two mainstays of RCB in form of Devdutt Padikkal, and Virat Kohli. AB de Villiers and Washington Sundar added 24 and 21 runs from their end to help the team. The bowling display of SRH was too strong to handle as Jason Holder picked two wickets, and T Natarajan conceded just 11 runs to name one scalp on his credit.

Yuzvendra Chahal scalped two wickets while maintaining the best economy from RCB’s bowling unit.
