This time it would seem as though the Aussies have taken sledging a bit too far.

Australia opener and vice-captain David Warner is never too far from controversies. The left-hander is now getting investigated for a reported altercation with the opponent wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock.

In a leaked CCTV footage which first appeared on South African outlet Independent media David Warner can be seen in a heated argument with the Protea batsman. The CCTV video shows Warner being pushed away from De Kock by his teammate Usman Khawaja.

Teammates can be pushing the Aussie away

The Australian players are seen climbing the stairs which lead to their dressing room when an already angry Warner appears in the video saying something to de Kock who was behind few other Australian players. Tim Paine and Usman Khawaja can be seen pulling the left-hander away urging him to stay away. Australian skipper Steve Smith then pulls his deputy Warner to the dressing room. However, the South African batsman De Kock and Markram cannot be seen reacting too much in the leaked footage.

Cricket Australia after the video was leaked said that they are aware of the video and are investigating the matter. The statement from Cricket Australia read, “CA is aware of reports of an incident between players in Durban. CA is working to establish the facts of what occurred and will not be commenting until this has been done.”

Cricket South Africa hasn’t responded to the matter.

De Kock was struggling for form during the recently concluded Test series against the Indians where he could manage only 71 runs in 6 innings. But when his side was in trouble against the Australians, the left-hander along with Markram, took the side in a strong position.

Earlier, Australia had reduced the Proteas 49 for 4 before a stubborn stand between Theunis de Bruyn and Aiden Markram frustrated the Aussies. Between lunch and tea, the Australians could manage wicket of De Bruyn but the strong stand between De Kock and Markram made sure the Australians remained in the spot of bother. However, Mitchell Marsh broke the partnership by removing centurion Markram while Starc’s 3-wicket over reduced the hosts 9 down.
