The match between Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the Caribbean Premier League match saw something that has never been witnessed in cricket. Patriots opener Lendl Simmons is going about his business with only one pad on. He left one of his pads after the 12th over of the match and went on to bat the remaining 8 overs of the match without pads.

Simmons was the top scorer of the match being scored 50 runs. He was run-out in the last over of the match. However, he completed his half-century in 60-balls, the slowest known T20 half-century ever witnessed.

Patriots managed to post a total of just 108 runs with just 3 batsmen getting into double figure scores. Adam Zampa was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed 3 wickets. Zampa had given away just 18 runs off his 4 overs. Sohail Tanvir, Steve Jacobs, Rayad Emrit and Veerasammy Permaul claimed one wicket each.

The pitch was not that easy to bat as Guyana lost 6 wickets in the chase before they chase down the target in 16.2 overs. Chris Lynn scored 34 runs off 37 balls and Martin Guptill was the top scorer for the team with 43 runs against his name from just 22 balls. Samuel Badree, JJ Smuts, and Tabraiz Shamsi bagged two wickets each.
